I've written before how my work is heavily informed by my personal experience of "challenge" (clearly a euphemism). Beyond supporting parents with feeding their littles, I'm fully aware of what an "adjustment" (once again, a euphemism) new parenthood brings. I do my very best to be sensitive and supportive of parents' needs beyond sustenance for the baby.

This one grabbed me by the boobies. I can't remember how I came across this little animation, but I do remember how it hit me like a ton of bricks. It brought me right back to those dark nights and long days with my new littles. I hope by sharing it with you you'll find some solidarity and solace in understanding that this is universally a crazy, amazing, painful, joyful, exhausting, maddening, and beautiful time. Keep in mind too, that the momma featured in the video seems to have the feeding part down and it’s still rough! Enjoy.

P.S. If podcasts are your jam, or if you are looking for ways to keep your mind busy while feeding/pumping at 3 am, check out The Longest Shortest Time. It does an amazing job of highlighting the often complicated emotional facets of parenthood.
